16 yr old Golden Retriever's hind legs dropped while walking. Has not been
able to walk on his own since that happened. If his tail is held in the air a bit - perhaps to relieve the pressure on the spine - he walks, and runs (a canter). He has plenty of energy and desire, but cannot get up, or stay up, on his own. Vet thought an inflamation so doubled his Duramaxx. No relief yet - 12 days. Any thoughts or suggestions? Any device that could be worn to straighten or support the spine? |

I had a coon dog mix, female, that developed arthritis in the lower spine, and it eventually caused her demise. Reason I mention this is that the symptoms you talk about seem similar to the ones she experienced. Good luck to you. |
