magnet collars, are collars with some sort of magnet insearted in the
collar! this sooths pain with arthuritis. it is also used on people! it
works very much so like a bi-flow collar. my dog has got a very got
arthuritis quite badly. but you wouldnt know it! she is lookingfine.
her legs have got more muscley!
at the moment she is on a painkiller called METACAM its especially for
dogs. H.D is covered on insurance and so are the painkilllers! she gets
25ml but she at the moment is doing fine and is like a new dog she jumps
up (although she is not supposed to!) i would definatly recommend it to
anyone!

Magnetic therapy is simply snake oil in another form - see Quack Watch
for all the proof you need that this is nothing more than another scam.
Your dog is "looking fine" because it is on the Metacam - the magnets
are doing absolutely nothing.
I agree about the magnets.
One MAJOR point tho I'd feel badly about not addressing....
If your dog is doing so well on Metacam, (or any meds), then be VERY
careful to not let her jump or ronp too much. If she has HD, (hip
displaysia), she can do much more damage to herself if she's not feeling the
pain.
Same for humans, I take a certain med for pain, and I only take enough to
make it fairly bearable, for this reason only. If I took enough to totally
block out the pain, I'd definitely do damage, by abusing movement and not
knowing it. Just a heads up.
