Default Steve Crane, Science Diet, citric acid and bloat?

Steve,

I posted a couple days ago about a Purdue study of gastric torsion in
dogs that says that citric acid in a dogfood increases bloat risk by
320% and also that dry food with citric acid shouldn't be pre-moistened.
Since Science Diet uses citric acid as a perservative, what are your
thoughts on this and what is Hill's position on it?

People come and go, and I wouldn't read too much into it.

Or perhaps he knows this is a baited question and lolajoker only wants to
use this as something to start a huge war about. Why bother, she ddoesn't
REALLY want to know.. she simply likes to fight to further her agenda.

I know lola is not someone I care to have discourse with, even if we were
on the same side. She doesn't listen, she just aargues. She does not WANT
to be educated, , she simply bids for attention.
The simplest way to extinguish bad behavior is to quit rewarding it.

Since logic doesn't work with her.. obviously you can't use logic with an
idiot. Reasoning with the irrational is an oxymoron.
So the only other alternative is to quit rewarding her need to fight and
bids for attention by removing the stimulus and refusing to play.

Besides, Steve Travels a lot. These self-gratifying people who need
instantaneous reward by putting out the bait, and watching someone fall
in their trap, need to realize that other people have REAL lives, and
responding instantly for their personal gratification, when they may
otherwise be occupied just doesn't always happen

Or perhaps the boss finally told him to quit posting on usenet.

Be careful about your presumptions.

Why is that? Everyone else was playing guessing game. Can't I get in
on it? :-)

First of all Diddy, this was a legitimate question. I had just come
across this info while doing some research on bloat which is of great
concern to those of us who have bloat prone breeds. I noticed that
Science Diet has citric acid in it as does the foods I feed. I had never
heard of this risk before and truly wanted the hear Steve's take on this
as well as others when I posted about this originally.

What exactly is my agenda??? When have I ever started a huge war? So
what are my bids for attention? Oh I are you talking about when I
exposed that troll "Houseboo" last year? It is interesting that houseboo
showed up here last March and April and made 93 posts in threads that
had nothing to do with her and then disappeared! The other interesting
thing is that last year when I posted a question about bloat and a
question about greyhounds directed toward Steve Crane both you and
houseboo came in with a similar post like you just posted in this
thread. What gives? What is with your negative reactions to my questions
involving MY concerns?

Please give me examples of my "bad behavior". Show me where I have been
irrational. Do you have me confused with someone else? I am here to get
information for my dogs health. I have rarely ever given advice. I am
not qualified to. But I will be persistent with questions if something
doesn't ring true or contradicts a previous statement and I will
interject my experiences.

"Since logic doesn't work with her.. obviously you can't use logic
with an idiot."

BTW, YOU ARE THE IDIOT and I am not a she. Lola and Joker are the names
of my dogs!
