Default Cairn terriers need help

On 20 Mar 2006 10:21:08 -0800 little cairn lover whittled these words:
im going to get a female cairn terrier puppy and need help how much do

Do you mean you are thinking about possibly getting one? or is it a done
deal? Cairn terriers can be nice little dogs - IF they match your
personality. If not, it can be not so much fun.

they eat? do they need that much exersise?

They need a moderate amount of exercise. They are active dogs and need
the opportunity to be active. Plan on spending one hour a day, MINIMUM,
in some activity with the dog.

are they easy to train?

No.

please tell me some genral information about them

If you are paying money to a breeder then do your part in helping dogs get
healthier - don't pay breeders who don't know about genetic health
screening. Look for a breeder who knows about the problems common to the
breed http://www.cairnterrier.org/health/ AND screens breeding stock AND
registers the results with a central health registry.

If you are paying money to a breeder make sure to meet the dam (mother)
and try hard to meet at least a few other dogs of the same lineage so you
can get at least some indication of temperament risks.
