Default Irish Terrier, what a nice dog.

Experience of one. He's here for two weeks and has spent two
nights - I hate how takes up space on the bed and can't be
moved. Friday loves him.

To those who know the breed: are they all so mellow? Can they
also be drivey/mellow?

I'll post Finnegan's [1] pictures soon.

[1] Who can guess the owner's next dog's name? Canadians may
have better luck at this question.

Sample size of one also, the dog was from the other side of the pond.
Definitely not a mellow dog. Very independent and inquisitive; the owner
said that she was hell on wheels as a puppy.

Maybe I should have waited before positing "mellow". Finn has
decided (already) that this is his house to guard and is more of
a window-barker than Friday. Yes, I know that this seems
improbable.

God has gotten back at me for admiring a terrier.

Towards the
bottom of the piece they say "We also have decided that the
people who wrote that Irish terriers were 'heedless' and
'reckless' were understating it."

As per my previous post to Suja, God gets back at people who
assume anything about terriers. I was only admiring a
temporarily assumed "mellowness" - the owners in the article are
*really* tempting fate. I think that they've only seen the
beginning. Hah!

That could be a picture of Finnegan! Do Irish Terriers only
come in the one colour? Time to look up a few pictures.

I've yet another brand-new-to-Matt breed here today for
evaluation for future boarding, recommended to me by a daycare
which isn't allowed to accept vicious breeds. I'll post a
picture as soon as the sun comes around to the front of my
house. Hints: big at 11 months and drooly.

Now you know why Finn was sent to you. Betcha he makes you appreciate
Friday's barkiness (or lack thereof) more.

So, what's the big, drooly vicious dog you've got? A Neo?

Very very close: A Bullmastiff. A nice unspayed girl whose vet
says it's best to be unspayed for a year. Fat, I think, but I
don't know Mastiffs.

Here's Gucci:
