Hello, I have a strange mix puppy that i love to death.. .but cannot
guesstimate on the size he will be.. could someone help? Bud is a Collie, Terrier, Chiqwawa mix.. he's 4 months old and weighs 8 pounds. Being Collies can be bigger dogs and Chiqwawa's can be smaller dogs I have no idea how big he might be. What do you guys think? When do dogs stop growing? |

Toy breeds mature much faster than larger breeds though. An 8# puppy in unlikely to be over 20# at full growth, and probably closer to 15#. -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |

Hello, I have a strange mix puppy that i love to death.. .but cannot
guesstimate on the size he will be.. I've been looking into this too. After over a decade of just adult dogs we now have a puppy again. He's four months old also and about 28 pounds. (Giant Schnauzer/Standard Poodle) I'm wondering if he's going to be as big as the other (82 pound) dog we recently adopted. It's going to be fun to watch him grow. http://lairds.org/Kyler/photos/disk0...g/image_viewer A generasl rule of thumb is a dog will be ~2x their weight at 4 months, when they become an adult. I found this chart which says pretty much the same thing. http://www.peteducation.com/article_...articleid=1068 --kyler |
