Question Dog with bowel infection

I am hoping someone can give me ideas on what would be good to feed my dog (mixed breed medium size). I took her to the vet and she said she has a bowel infection. She has finished her antibiotics and still shes not well. Hard food is hard on her stomache and so are some canned foods. Any ideas??

Thanks

Lena

I suggest asking your vet this question.

In general, and not knowing your dog's issues and history, I've heard
recommendations to feed dogs a diet of either boiled white rice and
boiled white meat chicken or boiled white rice and cottage cheese, to
help them recover from digestive upset. After a week to ten days,
you can transition to commercial food by gradually mixing in
increasing amounts of the commercial food.

Your vet may carry Hill's i/d, which is supposed to be easy on the
digestion. Otherwise pick a food you think she will do well on. Premium

feeds may be more digestible than grocery-store brands. Let's hope you
don't have to experiment much, but if you do, gradually mix the new food
in with the old over a period of a couple of weeks, as a sudden change
can bring on digestive upset.

This is meant to be "background information." My primary advice is
to ask your vet.
