Default Learning to run at 6 months old

Saddest thing this morning. I just got in a pup for training. She's
got great lines, etc., but has been basically warehoused in a small
kennel run her entire life to date. I went herding this morning and we
decided to test her. She was plenty interested in the sheep - but had
to learn how to run before she could respond to them. You could
actually see her trying to figure out how to use her legs. I'd already
had to teach her about stairs and glass, but was really shocked at a
pup so deprived she didn't know how to run. And she needs more than a
little physical conditioning work, of course. Sad.
