This evening I noticed my Rottweiller was favoring her left front paw.
After getting her to roll over, I found a nickel-sized abrasion on the inside of the main pad. It looked like a blister that had come completely off. It was oozing a little blood. I checked the other paw and found the same thing happening there, but the skin hadn't come off yet. The only cause I can find online is walking on hot pavement or sand. My dog doesn't go on the pavement -- or very little. She spends her time in her favorite shady spots in the grass or (her favorite) mud. What can cause problems like this? What can I do about it? Thanks. Daniel Wilson |

If there's absolutely nothing your dog could have gotten into or way he could have abraded his paws, I'd head to the vet. This could be a disease process at work. Best to figure it out now. buglady take out the dog before replying |
