Cali hasn't peed today at all. The last time I actually saw her pee was at
1 am last night before bed. She didn't pee throughout the night and hasn't peed since waking up. She's been drinking water and hasn't left my sight, so I know for certain that she didn't sneak off to a corner of the house to pee. She's been either crated or tethered to me so I am sure she didn't pee. She's been acting fine, high energy, etc but I am worried (what else is new?). I haven't gotten ahold of anyone at the ER vet but will keep trying. Any insight is helpful. THANKS. ~~~~~ Jenny, Maui and Cali |

I don't think I'd wait until Tuesday to get her seen. Amy Dahl |

Cali hasn't peed today at all. As Amy said, vet immediately. If it's a heat-related issue (even with drinking lots of water), it may be critical. How is she now? -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |

She finally peed at 7:45pm and it seemed like she was holding it all in because it was definately more than normal. I had talked to the ER vet and they said they wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again, in which case it could be a urinary tract infection. They also said to tell my regular vet about it on Tuesday. But, if it happens again, call back and maybe bring her in, which they didn't recommend at this point. |

For what it's worth, I try to pay attention to the colour of my dogs' urine while they pee, especially during hot weather and/or physical activity. Darker pee, in my dogs, often means they're not drinking enough. -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |
