Stuff like that is pretty uncommon, although it's probably inevitable that you'll get banged around at some point. One of the videos from the Iditarod two years ago shows Rachel Scdoris being remarkably casual in talking about barrel- rolling her sled on her way down the infamous Happy River steps. Most people who are dragged manage not to get their face bloodied. But it's pretty rare to be dragged. -- Melinda Shore - Software longa, hardware brevis - There are 2,012 earmarks in the research section alone of the GOP's latest defense bill. |

"It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt." That's what I kept telling myself as I was moving. It's amazing how many ways you can injure yourself without realizing it. Then, the next day, you can't figure out why you have a huge bruise on your arm or a knee that will not bend. Folks pay good money for that sort of ride at an amusement park. Most people who are dragged manage not to get their face bloodied. But it's pretty rare to be dragged. I expect it's rarer for some than others. I sometimes have trouble dog-walking without injuring myself. I can only imagine what sort of WMD I'd be if I were piloting a team of galloping sled dogs. -- Shelly (Warning: see label for details) http://www.cat-sidh.net (the Mother Ship) http://esther.cat-sidh.net (Letters to Esther) |

[] http://www.taymarr.com/poorhermine.jpg Ah, Motherhood! I counted 7 - is there another one on the left? How old are they? I don't have any experience with litters... but they look a wee bit old too me to still be nursing. Poor Hermine, indeed! FurPaw -- "None of us is as smart as all of us." Oh yeah? None of us is as stupid as all of us, either. To reply, unleash the dog. |
