Good luck!! I went to the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech which
also has a vet school. A couple of my close friends were in the program so
I got to hear a lot of 'war' stories. Even though it was gruelling, they
are very happy with their career choices. One is a large animal vet, the
other is a small animal vet and they both have their own practices.

My daughter (age 11) says she wants to be a vet but only if she never has
to euthanize an animal. I keep telling her what a wonderful option it is
for us to have for our beloved pets and that if she's a vet she can
euthanize me when my time comes. As appealing as that idea is to her, she
remains unconvinced.
