Diddy
I was channel surfing while watching the football game and came upon The National Dog Show and they were featuring the dog Marcel recommended for you The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.....uhhhh maybe there is a message there for you.....Wow, they must be making Chessies smaller these days, My girl Taffy weighed a good 70 pounds back in the day and she was not fat. She also was not well behaved!!!!!!!!! The only dog I have ever had that I could not get anywhere with. I know you are an excellent trainer, want a Chessie, and will do fine if you find the little one you want or your husband wants.....Good Luck Be Free.....Judy |

The same dog show I was watching did the little bio about each dog and
when they were doing the Chessie they described how their undercoat does not get wet and that they have so much natural oil/lanolin. The announcer went on to say that his grandfather used to say when you see an oil spot it usually means an old car was parked there or a Chessie laid there. Is their any truth to that story? My Chessie could shake the water off back in the day rather easily but I don't recall her being oily???? Be Free.....Judy |
