Heh. In this case, whether the onlookers cheer, jeer, offer helpful
advice and support, or keep silent will have little to do with the
ultimate outcome, IMO.

Yes it will. If you offer helpful advice or support, it will be your
fault when the predetermined outcome occurs. At least according to
some.
