Default Thank You for the info.

I wanted to thank those that gave explanations to the use of an ecollar
to me.

I am sure training has changed since I have actually been out there and
been active. I will see this spring with a new pup. I do want to make
it clear that my trainers did not use ecollars as part of their schH
training methods.

I would say by how it was explained ecollars are a lot different now
then they were when I had one. At the time I spared no expense buying
what was "suppose" to be the best. It had several settings I remembered
that. With my bitch being very hard she had a very high tolerance for
the thing so yes we did have to use high settings (tho not all the way
up) for her to acknowledge that she got a correction.

I can say I see now where using it for a correction in dog aggression
behavior could have backfired. I am lucky it went the way it did. I
still would not use one again unless of course it was to mean a last
try to get a dog off an aggressive behavior or it will be PTS....or
something of that sort.

But that is just how I personally feel about the use of them and I am
not projecting this on anyone else.
I am looking forward to trying newer methods of training on my new pup
and hopefully he/she will turn out to be a great schH dog as well.

I just wanted to thank those had answered and explained ecollars more
in depth to me rather then just send out a rude response. I respect
that. Rather I would use one again or not is not the issue. What was
the issue was wanting to know how and why people do use them yet the
dog feels no pain. Thanks for the explanations.
