Bella and Neo are lying on the floor, face-in-face, paws on shoulders,
moving heads from side to side in a very quiet game of bitey face.

They were told to behave twice before, so their (temporary) solution was
a very quiet, low-key game. We are pretty thrilled.

As well you should be. That is *most* excellent.

When we pictured getting any sort of pack-mate for Bella, this is what
we had in mind. Bella is remembering how to be a dog.

Way to go, Bella!

We are reminding
the girls that their bellies have to be on the floor to play in the office.

Harriet would like to inform you that it's possible for one
dog--one, mind you, not even two--to rough-house with her belly on
the floor. I think there must be a herd of Heffalumps involved, but
she says otherwise.

So, um, good luck with that!

The game is most excellent and the girls cannot contain their joy. They

Meanypants.

DH & I continue to try to teach dogs to bare their teeth in a most
horrific and scarey manner to the command of, "Eeeeevil dog."

Alas, I've tried to put Harriet's "sea cucumber" face on cue, as
well, but haven't managed it.

We haven't
been successful so far, but all the dogs we attempt to train quickly get
the idea that there is going to be some rough-housing involved, that
teeth will feel a lot of air and there will be a lot of growly/grumbly
noises involved.

Does it look anything like this:

Ah, I miss the growly biteyface.

So I have to get more batteries for the GD camera and get some pictures,
because Miss Bella has the mostest eeevilest, psycho-crazed eyes and
more teeth than a crocodile. She pulls her lips back so her beautiful
teefies are foot-long sabers. And everyone knows that showing a lot of
gum is extra skeeery. She's one tough girl.

Yes, please do replace those batteries *immediately-if-not-sooner*.
I think pictures of Miss Bella in full tooth would be *most*
entertaining.

She's killing him!!!

Are you familiar with Eddie Izzard? He has a routine about the
Queen's dogs, in which the phrase, "Crazy dog! Crazy dog!" figures
heavily. It was immediately adopted as one of Miss Brown's revving
up cues. Crazy dog, indeed!

But of course, it's all in the telling, so you'll have to watch it
to get the full effect.

Today there was more play, a certain spotted dog instigated it. After
another warning to knock it off, Bella uncovered a hidden bone and had a
nice chew. She left the bone and Neo came over for a little chew.
Spotted dog did not freak 0uT.

Every day, the girls do better together.

It sounds like they're doing great!
