Tuck rolled his dispense-a-treat ball under the Secretary. He's too big to
crawl under after it any more. He couldn't get it out, and then what
happened next was just unbelievable. He grabbed a gun ramrod and went
fishing for the ball when his paws didn't reach. He never succeeded, as he
did not have the dexterity to hook it or knock it out, he managed to pull
out a hair dustbunny that was terribly embarrassing. I thought of taking
pictures, but the hairball was so embarrassing that I decided I didn't
want to immortalize my lack of housekeeping. Then by the time I decided to
take pictures anyway, he gave up.

This is the first time I've actually seen Tuck thinking like his father in
problem solving.

But today, the ramrod as a tool thing was his own innovation. Too bad
it didn't work for him. I wish he had been successful.

You could probably set him up so it will work.

Rephrase that: I know you will set him up so it will work.

Actually, it might have to be next week. I'm scurrying to head to Texas, I
just got the go-ahead to take the rescues down.

Amazing boy! I hope you do set it up sometime so that he will
succeed.

Now, Diddy, the cardinal rule for people with Hairy Dogs is that
Dust Bunnies are to be regarded as quiet, shy household pets who
occasionally peek out from under the furniture where they dwell.

Just like dog hair in the butter is considered flavoring.

IMO it would be embarrassing to spend so much time housecleaning
to prevent such occurrences that you deprive your dog of quality
time with you. G

That's the way I look at it. I'd far rather spend my time with my dog (and
anything else for that matter) than houseclean. But when it gets to the
point I don't take documentation when I need to because of it, it's time to
do something.
The problem is.. How do you know when there is going to be an occassion
that you want to document?

What? You think the rest of us train our dogs not to shed and vacuum 6
times a day?

No excuse. Next time we want photos.

See? Exactly! Next time, just take the picture and title it "Tuck searches
out the Fiber for tonight's meal"

I worked on the vacuuming part with his dad. It was always a no-go. I
haven't tried it with Tuck. It certainly would raise his stock around here!

hee hee hee hee...

Licorice was trained to ring a bell if she wanted to be let outside which
is/was hanging in my office....

I was working in my office one day and knowing she was just going to go
outside only to come back in again *windy day, she does that* I took the
bell away and put it up...

then a few minutes later I hear a bell like sound... I turn around and here
she is picking up her dingleball then dropping it at the door, picking it up
and dropping it again...

then looking at me...

she got to go out...

I was amused...
