Well, for me and my dogs and IME and all the dogs that I take into rescue, this
way works the FASTEST to get the dogs attention.

This is not to say it is the ONLY way.

Good Grief! How did a textbook behavior question turn into a personal
issue for you?

Dave went into teaching mode and asked Leah a basic behavioral science
question and you replied with what you personally would do, but didn't
address behavior extinquishment. I tried to take it back to theory,
without providing the answer, because I didn't feel it would be fair
to do so.

If you can't answer a question, don't. If you don't understand why
your response didn't address the question, learn. It's a simple
question, very much on-topic for this group, not a personal referendum
on Paulette or another platform for you to whine about group dynamics.
