I think they're one of the easiest terriers.

I don't think I'd define Airedales that way. They may be marginally less
independent/more trainable than some of hunting terriers, but most of ones
I've known have had strong tendencies towards same-sex aggression with other
dogs, and many have had strong protective/guarding instincts, which can
easily become aggression towards humans in the hands of an inexperienced
owner.
