not to mention that MVCs are a bloodline of Mountain Curs, not a
separate breed. (Beau lost to a MC at a Cur show a few weeks ago...
but it was veeeerrry hard to decide, the judge said).

A Cur (any breed) will have far more prey drive than any Lab, more
protective instincts, more dominant, may be more difficult to train,
more assertive, and more likely to find a job to do if you don't give
them one. They're notoriously hard mouthed and hard to train to
retrieve (Lucy took 6 years to get her retrieve consistant). All Curs
have the chance of not having a tail, and MCs are either bobtailed
(natural) or docked.

Personally, I'll take a Cur over a Lab, but that's just from having
them for so long.
