"Darby Wiggins" wrote in message ... How about a lab...over your weight limit but Labs are great with kids, easy to train ect. and *much* easier to find than a "mountain view cur". -kelly not to mention that MVCs are a bloodline of Mountain Curs, not a separate breed. (Beau lost to a MC at a Cur show a few weeks ago... but it was veeeerrry hard to decide, the judge said). A Cur (any breed) will have far more prey drive than any Lab, more protective instincts, more dominant, may be more difficult to train, more assertive, and more likely to find a job to do if you don't give them one. They're notoriously hard mouthed and hard to train to retrieve (Lucy took 6 years to get her retrieve consistant). All Curs have the chance of not having a tail, and MCs are either bobtailed (natural) or docked. Personally, I'll take a Cur over a Lab, but that's just from having them for so long. -Amanda http://www.uberpest.com |
