.........Sorry, that was a half expressed thought! Salmonella isn't that big
an issue with animals......most of the Salmonella warnings (rawhide treats
for example) are really warnings for people handling them (esp kids,
elderly, immune compromised). Poverty does cause people to eat pet food
though, saw some figures on that once, can't remember what they were. Was
thinking they may use cat vitamins for similar reasons, though I don't think
they're cheaper.
