spite of having all those "smart genes" you like to brag about.

And here's why.

Because you apparently *intentionally* shut yourself off from half or
more of the world's body of knowledge, opinions, and ideas.

You apparently label information as being "right-wing" and
"left-wing", and if it's considered "right-wing," or is uttered by
someone you consider to be the right of (say) Marx (or, Heaven forbid,
a Roman Catholic), you automatically reject it, and won't even listen
to it. Not because it might be wrong (which it certainly could be),
but simply because it's "right-wing."

And *that* makes you stupid.

Really, really stupid.

No one here would gain more from reading Jonah Goldberg's great book,

Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning, than you would.
