Not that it matters to me whether Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mao
and Pol Pot were atheists. Atheist, religious, doesn't matter.
Jerks and monsters come in all flavors.

We can also find plenty of religious monsters who made the world
a much worse place. If you think that knowing that Stalin was an
atheist makes atheists cringe, it should make you cringe when you
read about the deeds of some of the Roman Catholic Popes and
Inquisitors.
