Naming Party! Bring all your friends over, pour some wine, sit
on the floor in a circle and put the pup in the middle. Start
throwing out names and let the puppy decide.

Or do what I did (which is what you're doing) and ask internet
strangers. A suggestion may click, or it may set off a light
bulb and send you in a direction you hadn't considered but is
still perfect, like Gus.
