Dammit, I can't think of any way that I might be famous, or know anyone that might be famous. Does it count if Khan's trainer and her dog have been on David Letterman's Stupid Pet Tricks or Pet Star? Janet Boss wrote: I don't believe you. Well, even if it's true, people here have described their local dog parks. Suja frequently talks about hers, in particular. Also, if you think about it why would you assume that the term "dog park" has the kind of specificity pfoley's talking about? -- Melinda Shore - Software longa, hardware brevis - Prouder than ever to be a member of the reality-based community |

"Suja" wrote in message ... "pfoley" wrote in message: The park that I go to on accasion is huge with paths winding through the forest, where people walk their dogs. But is it an official dog park? Those are generally areas that are set aside for dogs to be off-leash and play. There are plenty of parks around where there are walking trails and dogs are allowed on-leash, but off-leash dog parks are the only area here where you can legally let your dogs off-leash. Like so: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/offleash.htm Suja ========== They are all off leash at this park and there are large barrels scattered about for poop bags. I cannot be certain it is an official dog park, but it is a park used only by dog owners and has been for many years now. |

"Janet Boss" wrote in message: I don't believe you. It is possible that there really are NO dog parks where pfoley lives. And isn't it Matt who described his dog park as being this vast expanse of land with walking trails and stuff (granted, he is in a whole another country), so it is possible that pfoley's dog park is as described. BTW, the huskies' owner took her dogs to Quiet Water Park near Annapolis, because it has one of the few dog beaches in the area, and Satchmo is part seal. Turns out, it's not fenced in. Satchmo mostly stayed and played with the dogs, but Sita booked it the minute she was off-leash, and seeing that, Satchmo decided to join her. They didn't go very far, but it certainly gave the owner a heart attack. Suja |

I'm surprised. -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |
