Default Book Came Today!

http://product.half.ebay.com/The-Lou...536QQprZ994155

I have been trying to obtain a copy of this book for my husband ever since
we adopted Merlin. I've had it on my wish list, but every time I received a
notice, such as the one I got this morning, the price was always somewhere
between $150 to $300.00. The book is out of print and apparently highly
collectable.

So last week I found a copy for $45.00 and jumped on it. It arrived in
today's mail. As described, it is in excellent condition. Can't wait for
hubby to get home and find his *gift* has arrived. He will be thrilled.
Merlin is the first male dog we've owned, and dh has taken a real shine to
having another male around the house. ;] After raising three daughters,
and female dogs, the testosterone level is finally rising around here. ;-)

Default Book Came Today!

Well my husband was thrilled with his book. He began reading it while I was
at physical therapy today, in the waiting room. He's beginning to think
perhaps Merlin isn't a Catahoula *mix* after all. That he might be all
Catahoula.

Catahoula's were crosses between Beauceron, Mastiff, Greyhounds and wolves.
So his *size* doesn't mean he has to be mixed with anything, now that we
know Mastiffs are in the history.

Many other of the physical traits fit Merlin to a T. Webbed feet, curling
tail, floppy hound dog ears, his glassy blue eye and his brindled coat right
down to the length of his fur.

He's a bit hard to describe. If you'd like, I can send you a photo of him,
just let me know.

He is basically white/black/charcoal grey/caramel color brown, somewhat like
a brindled Great Dane I would guess. They apparently get their name
Catahoula ( from Catahoula Parish in Louisianna ) Leopard (from their
coloring/coat, as they are sort of spotted like a leopard ).

best,

I would love a pic of Merlin. Jack is a brindle pbt mix. I wish I
could send you a pic. He definitely appears to be a pit bull. The
first Vet he saw thought he was all PBT and then someone said he looked
like part Catahoula Hound, so I started checking out pics of them and he
certainly could be part Catahoula or part who knows what
I am glad your husband is enjoying the book and his Catahoula Merlin.
We have a lot of hog dogs around here (central Florida). My sister
lives south of here and it is worse down there. Those hog dog people
are right there with dog fighters IMO in the dirt.

If this address for you works Judy, I will try to send you a photo of
Merlin. If you promise to send me some pictures of your pups!! I'd love to
see the *famous* Jack and JE if you have some too.
