My question is, could any wolf of coyote genetic material in this dog

I don't know, but I've never had a tick on any of my huskies
and we spend a lot of time in the woods. Also, they don't
smell "doggy" (although 8 wet huskies do smell a bit),
mostly because of the way they get rid of their undercoat, I
think. From the little you've described it wouldn't
surprise me to hear the dog is part husky.

My huskies rarely got fleas. However, a couple of months ago we found
a tick wandering around on Mukluk's face. This resulted in the yard
being sprayed with Adams for the first time in years.
