Well, we didn't do a blood test. Friday's was such an odd
occurence that the vet (not his regular) felt that it wouldn't
show anything.

..........hmmmmmmm, well, I suppose that could be true. Contrary as I am
though I might have wanted one anyway. Always good to have a recent
baseline bloodwork.

.........And of course one worries about the episodes one might not have
seen. Let's hope watching amounts to nothing.

Luckily, I'm in a position where I'm mostly with my dogs 24/7.
Plus, unfortunately, I'm experienced enough to recognise all
sorts of after-effects.

One of her first concerns was vestibular syndrome.

Really? My experience with vestibular syndrome doesn't
include anything like what you described. But I guess
that's the "syndrome" part - a collection of differing
symptoms.

The vet, I think, was going through a mental checklist,
especially after I mentioned that I didn't actually observe a
seizure, just the disorientation and Bambi-on-ice co-ordination.
After I described the symptoms, she asked "Did you notice if the
eyes...." - not liking to waste time, I said that I didn't think
it was vestibular syndrome, for the reasons mentioned in my
previous post.

I'm trying to make contact with Friday's rescue to see if I can
trace his siblings. He was born into rescue, so it should be
possible, but 5.5 year old records may not be accessible.

Ah. I can see where she was going with it then.

That would/could be interesting. Just in case. But you may never know.

I understand that you're trying to dot all the i's and cross all the t's -
just in case. I'm sure I'd be doing the same.

Still hoping that there's nothing to find nor a further reason to search.

How was Friday over the weekend? My thoughts are with you.

Oh, I'm glad to hear that. Sorry for the late response, I'm just catching
up again after being sick myself.
