Default 19 year old poodle-R.I.P.

Just wanted to post something about my friend Pluto. I had him for
almost 19 years but finally had to say goodbye to him a few months ago
on april 10th. Things got to be too much for him so I couldn't let him
suffer anymore.
He went blind about 18 months ago but that didn't slow him down
much. He still loved to eat and walk around. Then he started having
symptoms of CDS (canine discognitive syndrome) .I feel like if I had
caught it sooner he might've had more time or at least a better
quality of the time that he did have. My vet didn't tell me about the
newest drugs that are out. They can't make it go away but they can put
it into remission. Anyway pretty soon I had to make a little place for
him in my house where he couldn't get hurt. I padded the walls and put
him a little bed down. Then he had some teeth removed and had a hard
time eating. So I made him some homemade food and fed it to him with a
baby spoon. So things were good for a while but then I noticed that he
was having trouble walking around because of an earlier surgery where
some discs were removed from his back.
Anyway I just want to say that you should always pay attention
to your dogs behavior. Their quality of life could depend on it.
Because of all that I went through with Pluto and some other dogs
I just started a blog where I'm trying to document all of the ins and
outs of the healthcare processes that we've gone through. Please check
it out @ http:www.healthyhounds.blogspot.com .
It's just in its beginning stages so there will be alot more daily.
Thanks, Nina

What happened to Crazy Henry? Spamming another group with his
"story" didn't attract enough hits?
