No, absolutely you first. I will not take "no" for an answer. You
earned it!!!

If all dogs were wolves they would share 100% DNA.

I, for one, welcome our clone dog overlords with open arms and a
woobie.

WHATEVER - You're must be tripping.

They don't - only 98%.

I didn't say that all dogs are wolves.

No, you only wrote it.

Got any more cop-outs in lieu of anything credible to add to this.

HTH BBQ HAND and God Bless.

I like the implications of the 100% shared DNA thing. Who
knew the Beatles got it right when they sang "I am he as you
are he as you are me and we are all together?"

This leads me to another question: Why do dogs sometimes
kick their hind feet out behind them after they do their
business in grass.

Scattering the scent. My puppy has done this since she was 8
weeks old. I take it as a good thing.

Except when it's someone else's fresh mulch they're scattering. Peanut
never does this after pooping (my other dogs did, sometimes) but
occasionally does after peeing, but, as someone else noted, usually from
at least two feet away and facing in another direction altogether.

If, by mulch, you mean poo, I can see how that would get old
quickly. But generally it's a good thing - I like the attitude
of the dogs which do it. They look like a big ol' bad bull
pawing at the ground. "I peed and I'm proud!"

I've never had a dog actually throw their stuff around. Maybe,
like Friday, is very careful about not stepping in pee and poo.
She'll eat it, but stepping in it is gross.

No, mulch is like bark or wood chips placed in a flower bed for some
botanical purpose (holds moisture in the soil or some such).

Heh. Peanut has so far stepped in poo only once (when I was walking
him, that is) but does occasionally pee on himself when he misjudges the
way things are going to flow.

I know from mulch, but I thought you might have being using a
polite-ism for doo-doo, since that's when dogs mostly do the
foot thing. I can see how mulch would make the demonstration
more satisfying, though, what with stuff to kick up.

Zoe appreciates your approval! I've been trying to stop her from doing
this for YEARS. Perhaps I will simply adopt your attitude.

Kids *always* laugh when they see her doing this. It's true that she
looks very proud of herself.

I always congratulate Harriet. My hands are full by that point,
though, otherwise I'd probably give her a standing ovation. You can
tell that she appreciates the fanfare, because she smiles and wiggles
and bounces. The whole routine is absolutely ridiculous (Her: I
pooped! I'm so awesome! Me: You pooped! You're so awesome!), so
what's not to love?
