Yeah, I would check his paws for thumb nubs and I would lock up all the
tools and any other potential weapons of mass destruction. You haven't
had a clipboard go missing, recently, have you?

He's a puppy. He doesn't need any tools to achieve mass destruction.

Anna is teaching him some tricks that she won't show us until she's
done. This can't amount to anything good.

And did he get it??

I didn't reprimand him, but I didn't reward him either. It totally
caught me off guard. He can handle "let's go potty" as we head for
the door without peeing along the way, so I wasn't ready for this kind
of problem. At least it wasn't on one of his diarrhea days.

He has learned how to go to his kennel and go in and out and in and
out until he gets my attention and then sit staring at the drawer the
pupperonies are kept in.

So has he become a permanent resident yet?

Yeah, he's permanent. I need all the entertainment I can get.
Besides, Molly needs another good natured dog to boss around.

Oh, I don't know about that. Long ago, a friend's little sister, at
about Anna's age, decided to teach their Springer puppy tricks. She
wound up teaching that dog about 30 tricks or so. They loved working
together.

Anna is an evil early adolescent girl. I am afraid for good reason!
Scooter decided he needed to go along with us to dance class tonight
and fell asleep on Anna's lap on the way home. He's a smart dog, all
right. When I was doing the rounding up to go to bed routine, he was
hanging out in her room begging treats. Faith was not amused, but he
was having a good time.
