The rest of us haven't offered advice because we don't have relevant
experience. I've done rescue for years, and have quite a bit of
experience with shy dogs, but this doesn't appear to be a shy dog. I
have one dog that was very unsocialized and neglected, but she wasn't
isolated in a barn or other location and in fact lived with 20+ other
dogs, and she was (and still is though to a lesser extent) extremely
fearful. So I don't have any advice for the poster, and after reading
Mary's post, I felt she pretty much summed it up. You should really
try not giving advice when you don't have personal experience to back
it up - it works!
If you
can't say something nice, don't say anything.
How about this, for you: if you can't say anything useful, don't say
anything.
