Default Dog breeds in order of 'size' - Help needed please!

They show the Beagle in different sizes, and now I thought I saw
that they classify the Boston Terrier in three different sizes
also; not sure about that one.

Who are "they"? Anyway, what is one breed in one registry may be two
or three different breeds in another. And, since the original
question was sorting breeds by size, it's irrelevant that Norwiches
and Norfolks are different breeds, as they *are* the same size.

Smooth Coated Collie
Rough Coated Collie
Bearded Collie - a shorter dog than the ones above and lighter to
boot, I'm pretty sure.

Beardies are closer to Border Collies in size and build than they are
to Lassie Collies.

However, in the name of helping out - The American Pitbull Terrier
is ever so slightly smaller than or the same as (the breed has a
wide acceptable size range) the American Staffordshire Terrier.

Considering that they registered as the same breed in some
registeries, that will be a surprise to many Pit and AmStaff owners.
But, yes, there is a huge range in size, from 25-30 lbs up to
gigantors of 100+ lbs.

Not that I have any clue what "bigger" means in this
context.

Come to think of it, a Shetland Sheepdog has a bigger mouth
than a Siberian Husky.

"Spamfree!" said in rec.pets.dogs.breeds:

King Charles Cavalier Spaniel

Should be moved way up the list.

Australian Shepherd

Would probably fit in just above the Siberian Husky.

Who is who?
Kathleen said they were the same breed and I said they were not. Re-read my
post.
The Beagle is shown in the 13" size and 15" sizes.

"pfoley" spoke these words of wisdom in
:

I don't care if the beagle decides to slpit varieties. I just wish varieties
would settle their breed differences in the breed classes themselves.. and
not wait until they get to group events. Within breed, the varieties should
decide which is the best variety of it's type and send ONE representative to
the group ring, not 4-5

It was a serious question. Who is the "they" you are referring to?

Kathleen said they were the same breed

No, that's not what she said, and you have misunderstood her meaning
in the context of this discussion.

Again, here is Kathleen's quote:
"Spamfree! wrote:

It's my understanding that this is basically one breed with different ears.

I'd list it as Norwich/Norfolk Terriers. Or vice versa"

I said no, they are two different breeds. You are having a bad day today.
