Yes . . . "let's hope."

BTW, how are his stones. Didn't you say some were back?

No. Since his surgery he has had no bacterial infections, no problems with
uriniation, and no calcium oxalate crystals in his urine across two tests
for crystals. The key appears to be keeping his PH between 6.8 and 8. When
it went above 8 then struvite crystals were detected.

]BTW, how are his stones. Didn't you say some were back?
]I lost the battle with my dog. I took him to The University of Tennessee
]for a lithotrypsy and they didn't do the procedure at that time, and said
]to bring him back. They put him on a battery of antibiotics and thought he
]had cancer. But the test they gave him had a history of testing false
]positive for cancer if there was an infection present. We knew he had an
]infection at that time.
]He was being treated for that infection when he went to Tennessee, But even
]though his cultures said that his infection was sensitive to Amoxycillin,
]he was not responding. So they upped his amoxycillin and added baytril.
]The infection still wasn't surpressed. He continued to worsen and got
]further infections. At that point, we figured his immune system was gone. I
]put him down. He had kidney stones, bladder stones, kidney infection,
]bladder infection, prostate infection, spleenic cancer (this was a
]surprise), bleeding ulcers, and an irritated pancreas with nodules that
]appeared to be precancerous.. or cancerous (I didn't have them biopsied).
]I'm glad i called it. I didn't want to keep my old friend in any more pain,
]and obviously he was never going to see any better days than the ones he
]just had.

Sad. Why do we love them so?
