hi all, I used to believe the
vets when they said that hills science diet and eukanuba are good brands. I found that to be untrue after reading up on commercial dog food. My mini schnauzer Whiskey used to be on solid gold until I discovered he had bladder stones 2 months ago. That's when I started reading up on commercial dog food and was appalled by what I found out. Whiskey's stones have been removed surgically and diagnosed as struvite. he just went off of Hill's s/d. As much as I think Hill's is bad, I didn't know any other alternatives. anyway, the vet says that he can go back to normal food now. I'm currently trying home cooking for whiskey. he seems to like it but i'm wondering if it's suitable for him. If anyone knows any recipes for struvite prevention do let me know! feel free to visit my blog at http://mylifewithpe ts.blogspot. com if you're interested in finding out more about whiskey's condition. If u have any useful information regarding struvite stones pls share with me. Thanks! Natalie |
