Ok - I went back and read td's second post. The BEST way to help this
is to TNR the mother. Period. Since the kitten is social, get thee to
a decent shelter where it has a chance of a decent life after S/N and
vaccination. Assuming it's healthy of course. But you wouldn't want to
leave a sick or carrier cat out and about anyway, right?
