Maybe the food
change won't make a difference, but I just ordered $500 of
the old stuff in case my instincts are right.

If it's any comfort that others feel the same, I think I
probably would have done the same thing!

It's good to see that I'm not the only anal one. In Real
Life, all I get is "WTF?". Hoarding makes perfect sense to
me, and is ethical to boot since there doesn't seem to be
anyone else lining up in front of the pet supply stores.

To that "WTF?" I'd reply "Double WTF?" What else are you supposed to
do? You know that the food is treating Rocky well, so if you can
stock up on what's left of it, do so. It seems like a no brainer to
me.

Yes it does, and it makes sense to others, too, until I
mention that I just spent $500 on dog food which should last a
couple of years.

Sounds good to me. You'd be spending that money one way or another,
either in dribs and drabs or in a lump. Maybe they are just shocked
at how much a couple of years' worth of dog food costs?

And just think, you'll be all set for Teh Apocalypse!
