I'm planning on having a thyroid panel run on one of my boys. Any input on
which is better, sending to Jean Dodds or using MSU or someplace else?

MSU is the standard and accepted in the veterinary community. I've
seen thyroid panels sent elsewhere, but almost always additional blood
will be sent to MSU to 'confirm' diagnoses. Save money and your dog/
cat a trip to the vet and send straight to MSU.

We have always had excellent service from MSU. The department is called,

We've used both an outside lab and MSU. As someone else said, send it to
MSU and save yourself some trouble. Dodds is good too (also, cheaper than
MSU), and I believe that she will personally review the cases, but I have no
personal experience with them. What I've been told is that East coasters
send to MSU, West coasters to Dodds.
