I was on their site today trying to find a dry food to use as a treat. I
have yet to find one without garlic.

You don't have to give commercial treats as treats. If your dog does well
with his/her dry kibble, just take a small handfull of the daily amount and
put it in the freezer in a zipper bag. Dogs love the cold crunchy treat.
It's especially good for those dogs who are food allergic or sensitive to
products outside their daily meals.

I put garlic in my homemade liver treats but they're given in tiny
pinches. Dogs live in their noses to a much greater extent than people.
My dogs will work like crazy for them because even though they only
get a little bit, it's so deliciously, gorgeously stinky.

Boy, that's the truth.

I don't think a small amount of garlic is a big deal. Some
lower-quality feeds throw it in to improve palatability,
because it *tastes* *good*.
