"MauiJNP" wrote in message ... So that's my update. thanks for the update, the pups sound like they are doing well. any new pictures? Unfortunately not. I have taken some with my regular camera, but not with the digital my daughter has. Last week was very busy for her. Besides taking Jake to and from school each day, both he and the twins go into Raleigh for speech therapy, on different days. Between that, the puppies trip to their vet, near Wake Forest, and Monte's injury, just getting the *normal* things accomplished was a stretch. Now, in addition to Kali being walked on a leash for her 'outside' time, Monte also must be leash walked for at least the next two weeks, until her staples come out of her head. The rescue that is sponsering them have taken photo's of them each time they come in though. I'm going to try and see if we can manage some free time, when there is someone else available to supervise the twins, for Robin and I to take some photo's of the pups indiviually. They move so fast now, it's hard to get shots of them. When ever we come into the garage, they are jumping and running all over the place in their pen. I'm anxious also to have more photo's of them to post, as they are so cute. They all look like little roley/poley's. Chubby as all get out, and furry. The vet thinks they will all be larger dogs than Kali. td |

"Melinda Shore" wrote in message ... In article , Shelly wrote: Why would you expect Latin American slang be "common" in Switzerland or Great Britain? Well, what I think it comes down to is this: tiny has a probably reasonable expectation that she'll never come in contact with a native Spanish speaker, so she can continue to operate for the amusement of her white bread family and white bread friends. I have a friend who's kind of a complete and total **** and she once said "Learn Spanish? Who would I talk to - the maid?" Same deal. And you've surmised this from the fact that she incidentally chose a name from a childrens program that also means something in spanish slang? Thats quite a stretch there. Tiny, I never knew you had a spanish maid? |

Maybe you missed tiny's discursion on illegal immigrant workers, her recent comments on healthcare in Mexico, etc. "Pinga" is a reasonably common piece of Spanish slang. I would not expect tiny to know that because of her attitude towards people who speak Spanish. I actually thought she took the name from the Inuit goddess who takes souls to heaven. I'm glad she didn't, but really, when you take stuff from other cultures or other languages you've got to take at least a little care to make sure that you're not naming your dog "Penis." A few seconds with Google would have prevented that. -- Melinda Shore - Software longa, hardware brevis - Prouder than ever to be a member of the reality-based community |

td said in part.....
so, that's my update....... ____________________________ td. I am happy to hear the pups are coming right along. They sound like they are adorable, but what puppy isn't? Any plans to keep a puppy, either you or Robin? I believe you mentioned early on there was a possibility? Continued success with "your" babies. Do you think Kali would mind a kitten in with the litter. He's tough ![]() Be Free.....Judy |

How is he doing? (the Kitten) ________________________ MauiJNP Thanks for asking. He has turned into a boy. I thought I had a baby girl I have been calling him, Baby. He is still so tiny. He isreally wearing me out. You know I love him like crazy. Jack gets this glazed look in his eyes when he sees the kitten scoot around. So, I keep thinking, there is no way I can keep him. I have a 17 yr old cat that Jack has always eyeballed but never gone near. I keep thinking if "Baby" can get past Rat sized??? Maybe?? I am so proud of Jubal Early, he has taken to mothering the kitten. He is very concerned when it is meal time (which is all the damn time). JE has been banished to my chair instead of the bed. I thought that would cause him to snap, but it is as if he understands. Baby, eats and falls over, tries to run and falls over, when he gets tired. I really love his loud mouthed self. Be Free.....Judy |
