The 6 year old poodle has been adopted by a retirement home 3 weeks
ago and is regularly taken outside for pee breaks. She was good to go outside at the beginning but is now peeing on the carpet right after she comes inside. She seems happy and playfull but this is a new thing for her but it's just not acceptable if it's a behavior thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. She is going in the the vet this afternoon for her booster shots. Lori |

Check her for a UTI. Don't let her come back in until she's empty. Clean the carpet where she pees with an enzyme cleaner. Maybe more pee breaks until she's used to the new place. Thanks. I was wondering about that and will pass it on. I also thought that bringing her in if she doesn't go and putting her in her crate and then taking her out again in a while. If she pees outside then she can run loose inside again. |

Cleaning with anything less can leave an olfactory signal that inside is the right place to go. --Lia |
