: Is onion powder prepared from cooked onions or dehydrated onions? I don't know, and I'm not sure it matters, as everything I've read indicates that cooked onions are also toxic. When I run a dehydrator, it uses hot air - probably not hot enough to cook the material, Mine goes from 95-145F, for whatever that's worth. -- Shelly http://www.cat-sidh.net (the Mother Ship) http://esther.cat-sidh.net (Letters to Esther) |

I do read what is posted and linked. Sometimes things are skimmed
due to time, sometimes not. It was an abstract, so it was only one or two paragraphs long. But, if you can't be bothered to listen to the answers when *you* are the one asking the question, then I don't see any reason to waste my time looking for information for you. I know it was an abstract. The abstract only mentions dehyrated onions but the article deals with other types. It says that their toxic effect is equal for cooked, dehydrated or raw onions. |
