Does anyone on this list have a solution for this after all the
supplements have failed? I've tried Forbid, Deter, pumpkin, and hot sauce poured directly on the stool. My dog is very cagey about not going when I am watching. We have changed his food, but his kibble is good quality so I don't think he is missing anything in his diet. (I won't feed raw) Now Billy is teaching our puppy how to do this as well. |

Pick it up. Before you think I'm being flippant with that answer - I've been dealing with poop eating for almost a decade with one of my dogs. No matter how it starts (there are a lot of theories), it becomes a habit. Pick it up to break the habit. Keep picking it up to make sure the habit doesn't reinstall. (From your email address I see you have Aussies. My poop eater is an Aussie. They tend to be hungry dogs, eh?) -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |
