Well I took the advice and kept Shadow & Remi outside as
long as possible and then we all went inside. Shadow is
having nothing to do with her. He growls whenever she
comes near him. Of course she is enamored of him and stops
whatever she is doing to watch him intently when he is in
her vicinity!

What does she do when Shadow growls? It took grumpy Friday a
year before he played with baby Maybe, even though she spoke dog
well. Old guy Rocky, OTOH, played well with her from the
beginning.

If Shadow only growls (and probably does the lip-lifting thing)
while Remi is puppying, I'd leave them to sort it - naturally
with supervision.

Is there something else we could be doing to get her to
sleep through the night or is she just too young yet (7
weeks today). We did the alarm clock/stuffed toy/lots of
exercise thing. I feel like we have a newborn again

She's too young to make it through the night without a pee break
(it's always at 2am). I'd avoid putting stuff into her bed at
night - nights are for sleeping. I know that the alarm clock
and toys are meant as litter/mom substitutions, but that's your
job now. If you're crating her at night, where is she?
