Default Dried Pears = Crack

I mentioned that Harriet loves her some pears? Well, I was busy
slicing the newest batch for the dehydrator, and offered her a
piece. "No, thanks, ma'am." The little brat turned her nose up at
it!

But, last night, when they were done drying and I was taking them
off the racks, she was more than happy to eat them. Apparently, now
that she knows about dried pears, she has no interest in fresh ones.

I'm almost afraid to let her taste the dried banana slices.

Mmmm. The taste of dehydrated foods is so intensely good,

That Harriet is a damfine gourmet foods affecionado.

She is! She's not exactly picky, as she'll eat most things, but she
has definite preferences. And, she's no dummy, so when she knows
there's something more betterer in the offing, she doesn't waste her
time eating inferior food.

Do you dip your nanners in absorbic acid to keep them from turning
black?

I usually use lemon or lime juice, but this time I forgot.
Everything stayed nice, though. The bananas are only just slightly
brownish, which is fine, and I'll be damned if I can see any
difference in the color of the pears from the last batch, which was
properly prepped with lime.

So, they look pretty much like this:
