When I eat, dog Rusty gets his dreamy look - my previous dogs did the
same. Rusty knows he never gets anything to eat between meals. He never begs. Yet, when I eat he obviously thinks of the same and dreams of dinner. This puzzles me. Human gestures and procedures of eating involving hands/arms/mouth are totally different to those of dogs. How then can they equate our food intake with their's?
