Putting perspective on my recent post about Bren's 12th Got Day
anniversary, impending 13th birthday, and diminishing kidney function, links
to pictures of two recent woods hikes (last Saturday and the Saturday
before):

One selected picture, from last week:: http://tinyurl.com/yojfxz

The entire set of pictures (about 10 of them), most of which are just plain
chuckle-inducing due to both dogs' talent for Oogly Faces:

With the set, it's best to click on "view as slide show", unless you're on
dial-up.

Thanks for the pics, your dogs look great!
I particularly liked the shot with Morag's mouth wide open, looks just like
home.

=============

Their color of both dogs blend in with the background. In a couple of those
shots they look like wild dogs.
What kind of dog is Bren?

Yup. And the fact that it's black definitely helps.

I had a funny experience a few days ago:
I was walking a couple of laps on a field near my house, while the dogs
played "chase me", and there was a fellow there practicing soccer dribbling
at the same time. Twice, he said something to me - from a distance - about
"Your dog has something in his mouth!". Which neither dog did, on either
occasion, so I just smiled & nodded, thinking to myself "What IS he on
about?? He must need glasses!"
Wasn't till much later that it occured he was seeing Bren's tongue. :-D

Morag has been mistaken for a fox before. G

AFAIK, Redbone Coonhound crossed with Chow or Chow mix - the Chow being
where he gets the black tongue.

Well, that's certainly *something*, and it *was* in his mouth.

Har! I hadn't thought of that, but you are correct, ma'am.

Those are some most excellent Crazy Dog photos. Especially the one of
Morag rolling her eyes (#8). Well done!
