That was my reaction to your appearance here, as well. I
think the jury's still out.

Anyway, I expect this is one of those situations where
Pascal's wager might have some relevance.

"tiny dancer" said in
rec.pets.dogs.behavior:

Ding, Dong, The Witch is Dead.

I don't get it.

JMO, but this Ellie creature was a troll. Again, just my
opinion, but I don't buy her bullshit latest post, with all
those emotionally dragged out words/spellings.

Thanks for the explanation, though I disagree as to trolling. I
saw her posts yesterday but had nothing to offer.

I still don't understand your Wizard of Oz quote, though.

Default Dog Help: Urinating in The House

I have done alot of thinking, after seeing the reactions to my sincere
efforts to simply say "Thank you" and not 'simply disappear'. I could
have simply 'disappeared', you know.... But it is a part of me to say,
"Thank You".

Questions (no answered wanted really, is simply food for thought):

1. At what human expense does one have to take on, before they are not
a 'Troll' or something whatever 'evil'? (I DID say that I was going
to be EVICTED from my apt, if the dog stayed!)

Welllllllll.... It doesn't matter.... I am unsubscibing myself from
this area. I 'was' going to stay and chat a bit here and there.....
But..... not now.... MAYBE at a later date....

I am sorry if I offended anyone, it was NEVER my intentions at all! I
simply have never owned a dog personally (worked too many crazy work
hours all my life until now....), and neeeeeeded to talk to someone. I
actually work 8 hour shift now... Perhaps I came to the wrong place to
try to talk to someone about the behavior problems with my mom's
dog....

I personally don't believe that I came to the wrong place. But also do
not regret leaving this place and likely not coming back .....

In conclusion.... I am going to end this message in a good way. I
really do hope you all have a wonderful christmas and hope you all
enjoy your dogs. I hope that you all have a wonderful day.

Some of you have been extremely helpful though, and I very very very
very much thank you. It has been very very much appreciated.

It sounds as if you have the dog loose in the house with no way of
letting you know at night if it needs to go out.

No answer about getting the dog's urine checked for a urinary tract
infection.

No answer about enzyme cleaners.

What was the dog's previous schedule and where did it sleep at your
mom's apartment?

Default Dog Help: Urinating in The House

Elizabeth67 spoke these words of wisdom in
:
Elizabeth.
CRATE the dog until it has gone outside. If you take it out, and it does
not go, bring it in and crate it.

then rinse, repeat until the dog goes outside. (Praise/reward) bring in and
give some free house time for a reasonable period until you anticipate
potentially, that the dog might need to go.

Take the dog out again, and repeat the crate cycle

Also have the vet examine the dog for a UTI, and clean the areas with
enzyme cleaners.
Do not put any bedding in the crate.

I am trying to walk the dog as much as I can, but it is impossible to
walk the dog every 2 hours (or less), 24-7, almost. It is impossible
to walk the dog for an 'entire' hour at a time, every 4-6 hours. I am
working FT and taking care of my mom FT..... My mom could walk the dog
3 times a day, for 15-30 minutes, only....

Sorry for the long message, and I am a new comer here...... Hope you
are having a nice day.
