I didn't think 7 was past middle age for a 60-lb
dog.
7 is the age where vets like to do a baseline bloodwork. The BEGINNING
of becoming a senior. That said, I know some very OLD 7 year olds and
some extremely young 7 year olds. Kind of like people, there are a lot
of factors that determine "true age".

Dogs do age differently, but they really seem to mature differently too. I
wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Kiba is three months past two years and is not an adult by any stretch.
Trying to keep him quiet right now while he recovers from knee surgery is
painful, for me and him. He wants to play SOOO badly!! *sigh*
