I had tossed her bumper. She didn't fall off the dock, but......

She decided that she didn't want to go straight off the dock, she'd
rather bounce from the dock to the exit ramp, then jump off the ramp for
the bumper. She missed hitting the center of the ramp and her right
front leg went off the edge of the ramp and was sliced pretty badly by
the carriage bolt that holds the ramp together.

Needless to say, that bolt will be turned around so that it doesn't
stick out any more. (and luckily, it's a new bolt - they had just
redesigned the ramp configuration) The bolt is at least 5 inches below
the ramp, and recessed some, but it still sticks out some. I never
would have dreamed that would have happened.

She turned right around and jumped back in. I didn't even realize she
did anything until she came up the ramp and the blood was running down
her leg.

Thankfully, my vet is open until 6 on Saturdays, so we stopped the
bleeding, vet wrapped, and headed the hour to the vet. Atty was more
mad that I wouldn't let her back into the pool. She has yet to limp, and
really never seemed like she knew it was cut.
